WEEK 7 - WORKSHOP 3

Wednesday, 22 September 2021

Today's workshop is about Thesis Writing and Proposal Writing. The briefing conducted Online – Microsoft Teams and attendance of all the students are taking the FYP subject was compulsory.

The briefing conducted by Sect. Reps Mr. Azmi Hashim.

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about:

  • Results & Discussions (Ch 4), Conclusion (Ch 5).
  • Abstract in Thesis Writing or Summary in Proposal Report.

Friday, 24 September 2021

From meeting with Academic Supervisor (Madam Azliza), she commented about the blog content (logbook report) try to make it more flexible. Plus if put link journals or articles try to write a summary from the report journal or articles.

Some homework from this week try to write:

  • Problem Statement.
  • Objective.
  • Introduction.
Below are the problem statement and objective that I try to write before this:

WEEK 6

Wednesday, 15 September 2021

Today the ASV (Madam Azliza) asking to send at least two journals related to the title by Friday. The journals can be found on Google Scholar also other sources' websites.

Below the attachments of journals also summary about the journals or articles:

1. Brain Tumor Detection Based On Segmentation Using MATLAB

"This work is mainly focused on the detection and localization of the tumor region in the brain through the proposed methodology using magnetic resonance images of the patient. The proposed methodology consists of three stages i.e. Preprocessing, edge detection, and segmentation. This is followed by edge detection using the Sobel, Prewitt, and Canny algorithms with image enhancement techniques."

2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging Image Segmentation and Brain Tumour Detection Using Pulse-Coupled Neural Networks

"This article introduces a brain tumor detection system and various abnormalities and anomalies, where image preprocessing and preparation includes image enhancement, filtering, and noise reduction. Pulse Coupling Neural Network (PCNN) can be used for image segmentation at the pre-processing stage, in particular for image filtering."

Wednesday, 08 September 2021

Today's workshop is about the general briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted Online – Microsoft Teams and attendance of all the students are taking the FYP subject was compulsory.

The briefing was conducted by Sect. Reps Mr. Shah Rizailli Mukhtar.

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about Thesis Writing :

  • Thesis and Proposal format.

WEEK 4 - Register Title of FYP

 Friday, 03 September 2021

Last meetings, an Academic Supervisor (Madam Azliza) was given a task to make, some research and come out with a more suitable title, problem statements, and summary of the project. After discussing the project, I and ASV decided to change the title from Brain Tumor Detection Using Image Processing to:
Development of Brain Tumor Detection System Using Image Processing

Here is a rough summary of the project :

" This project will use image processing technique on medical image to detect brain tumor. MRI image of the brain is processed for the detection of the tumor using MATLAB algorithm. This MRI images are preprocessed so that further morphological operation can be done. The system will detect the irregularity of the size and shape. The location of the tumor will also be identified. "

Then the title has been successfully registered.

Saturday, 04 September 2021

These some journals that related to the project :

1. Brain Tumor Detection Based On Segmentation Using MATLAB

2. Brain Tumor Segmentation Using 3D Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scans

WEEK 3 - Title Project Discussion

Monday, 27 August 2021

As in the briefing, students can choose the title provided by the Academic Supervisor (Madam Azliza) or come up with their own ideas. After a bit of thought, I decided to choose the title with my own ideas.

The title I have chosen are:
  • Brain Tumor Detection Using Image Processing
  • Motion-Based Conveyer Messenger For Disabled Person

From today meetings I have been discussed in detail the title projects with project had capabilities to do. Also from the two title I discussing, the title was approved by Academic Supervisor and I have decided to choose the Brain Tumor Detection Using Image Processing as FYP 1.

After meeting with ASV (Madam Azliza) and discussing, some amendments have to do to the title and try researching about the project more details and come out with objective, summary and problem statement of the projects.

Problem Statement attachment.

WEEK 2 - WORKSHOP 1

 Wednesday, 18 August 2021.

Today workshop is about the general briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted Online – Microsoft Teams and the attendance of all the students that are taking the FYP 1 was compulsory.
The briefing was conducted by Sect. Reps Mr. Shaiful Osman.

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about:

  • Types of Assessments, Marks, Weightage (Credits and Duration, Scope of Projects, Title Selection)
  • FYP Rules & Regulations (Submission date of Project)
  • Activities Throughout Semester (Project Assessment, Presentation Day)

As students had to choose the title of the project cautiously. For Degree holders, the title should reflect the abilities and knowledge of the Degree holders. Students can choose a title provided by their Academic Supervisor (ASV) (Madam Azliza) or come up with their own ideas.

WEEK 14: SUBMIT TECHNICAL PAPER

This week the submission for the technical paper is on Friday (03 June 2022). Then proceed to complete the Thesis and provide more research ...
